The EAEU technical regulation “On the safety of packaged drinking water, including natural mineral water” comes into force (EAEU TR 044/2017) entered into force as of 1 January 2019.
The TR on packaging drinking water establishes mandatory safety requirements for packaged drinking water (including natural mineral water), requirements for its production process, storage, transportation, circulation and recycling as well as labelling and packaging requirements.
The TR applies to natural mineral water, including water with therapeutic properties, drinking water intended for children, table drinking water, processed drinking water, drinking water that has been artificially mineralised, etc.
From January 1, 2019, the issuance of conformity assessment documents based on mandatory requirements that were in force before 1 January 2019, is no longer allowed.
