ALL (General product requirements)
On 28 April 2017 the Council of the EurAsian Economic Commission adopted the decision on synchronisation of ratification procedures for the EAEU Customs Code. This will allow the Customs Code to enter into force on 1 January 2018.
At the same time with the Code, a number of important decisions of the Commission are to also enter into force. These decisions regulate 25 different issues, including the activities of authorised economic operators, movement of goods by physical persons and so on.
Draft Decision aims to exclude 1-Phenylpropan-2-one from the list of approved substances
The Draft Decision would exclude the substance 1-Phenylpropan-2-one from the List of aroma and flavouring chemical substances approved for use in the production of food flavourings.
Uzbekistan: The Government is to propose 30 draft laws in 2017
The adopted Programme for the development of draft laws for 2017 includes 30 new draft laws.
The Programme includes draft law that would impose stricter liability on employers for breaching health and safety regulations and for other breaches of labour protection legislation.
Product manufacturers, manufacturer representatives and importers may use the Methodical Recommendations adopted by the Federal Agency of Technical Regulation and Metrology (RosStandart) in order to determine how and in which cases they have to notify the market surveillance authorities about non-compliant products they placed on the market.
The Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology (RosStandart) has published Methodical Recommendations to be used by product manufacturers (the manufacturer representatives) and importers if they discover that any products they have placed on the Russian market, have a defect or a fault.
EAEU: Amended lists of products subject to Technical Regulations
As of 22 April 2017, amendments to lists of products subject to certain Technical Regulations enter into force. The lists of products that are subject to the following Technical Regulations have been amended:
Technical Regulation on the Safety of Personal Protective Equipment;
As of 18 March 2017 state supervision bodies (inspections) are to be taken risk-oriented approach when performing additional 33 types of supervision. The added types of supervision include environmental, transport, land use, ethanol handling, pharmaceutical handling and some other types of supervision.
