Belarus: Adopted requirements for an organisation’s general fire safety instruction
As of 18 May 2018, organisations that operate warehouses or storage areas for materials and substances are required to comply with the rules adopted by Instruction on Storing Substances and Materials. The Instruction imposes storage requirements aimed at ensuring fire safety at industrial and other facilities and warehouses.
As of 21 April 2018, developers of pharmaceuticals (the Applicants) are required to follow the adopted procedure if they wish to obtain a permit for a clinical trial for their pharmaceuticals.
The state agency responsible for issuing clinical trial permits is the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation.
As of 1 January 2018, organisations operating laboratories where potentially hazardous chemical or biological substances are used are required to comply with the adopted health and safety requirements.
The adopted rules impose requirements for the construction, water supply, conditioning, ventilation as well as storage and transportation of materials and substances used in laboratories.
As of 10 April 2018, organisations operating industrial (production) equipment are required to comply with the adopted occupational safety rules.
The rules define “industrial (production) equipment” as any machine, apparatus, instrument, device or equipment used in the performance of works, manufacturing products, services, including machinery, machinery and major hazard equipment/installations.
As of 20 April 2018, retail sellers of ethanol-containing products are to be subject to the renewed restriction (prohibition) of sale of ethanol-containing non-foods, food additives and food flavourings. This prohibition applies to products where the content of ethanol exceeding 28% and which are sold at a price that is below the retail price (for 0.5l) of alcoholic drinks with the content of alcohol exceeding 28%.
