Starting from 1 January 2018 manufacturers and importers of certain types of products are required to inform the consumers on the energy efficiency of these products. The revised list of such products was adopted by Decree No. 450 of 15 April 2017.
This Decree also introduces amendments to the principles in accordance with which the manufacturers and importers are required to determine the energy efficiency class of the relevant products.
In addition, the Decree provides for the unified form of the label that is to be used for informing consumers on energy efficiency class of the relevant products.
The list of products for which energy efficiency information is required include electrical conditioners, TVs, domestic washing machines, general purpose electrical lamps, dishwashers, etc.
