Russia: Revised maximum allowable concentrations for microorganisms and bacterial preparations

As of 23 May 2017 organisations that emit into the ambient air or into the air of working zones any microorganisms-producers and/or bacterial preparation components have to comply with the set concentration limits.

The adopted Decree sets maximum allowable concentrations (MACs) for microorganisms and bacterial preparation components for the air of residential areas and for the air of working zone (i.e. occupational exposure limits).

MACs for the air of working zone are set for 127 substances and for the air of residential areas – for 101 substances.

The adopted Decree repeals all previously adopted Decrees setting out MACs for the same substances in the air of residential areas and the air of working zone.
