16 February 2015 is the commencement date for the public discussion of draft amendments to the list of standards the voluntary use of which ensures compliance with the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union on the Safety of Perfumery and Cosmetic Products (TR TS (TC) 009/2011).
If adopted, the draft amendments would:
- Provide the updated list of standards;
- Include 20 newly adopted inter-state standards;
- Include 1 Belorussian and 3 Kazakh national standards;
- Exclude all revoked Belorussian and Russian national standards (e.g. the Russian standard on cosmetic product labelling);
- Set the timeframe for the application of replaced and replacing standards; and
- Provide minor drafting amendments and clarifications.
