Ukraine: draft law on the safety of buildings, structures and construction products

Ukraine has published draft Law of Ukraine "On basic requirements for buildings and structures, as well as conditions of placing on the market of construction products, harmonized with the legislation of the European Union". 

The Draft Law sets out basic minimum requirements pertaining to buildings and structures applicable during the whole life cycle of products as well as to technical testing procedures of construction products performed in order for them to be placed on the market. The draft law also applies to subjects, participating in technical testing procedures and declaration in the field of construction.

The Draft implements the provisions of the Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2011 laying down harmonized conditions for the marketing of construction products and repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC Text with EEA relevance
