Zero customs duties set for plastic cylinders ("buttons" or "blanks") imported into the Customs Union and used for the manufacture of contact lenses.
These duties were imposed set by Decision No. 35 of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated May 16, 2013.
Decision No. 35 of 16 May 2013 also created a separate position for the cylinders used for contact lens manufacture in the TN VED TS [FEACN CU]. The TN VED TS code for this position is:
- 3926 90 970 2 “cylinders used for contact lens manufacture, with the height between 5 and 8 mm, diameter from 12 to 15 mm, without any optical treatment”.
The proposal to set zero customs duties for contact lens cylinders and some other products was published in April 2013.
