Facilities that emit warfarin sodium, biocide manufactured by Nalco Chemicals and / or corrosion or scale inhibitor manufactured by Nalco Chemicals into the ambient air are required to ensure that their emissions of these substances do not result in the exceedance of the set concentration thresholds set for such substances for the air of residential and recreational areas.
The maximum allowable concentrations of these three additional substances in the air of residential and recreational areas are set as follows:
Warfarin sodium – 0,1 mkg/m3 (maximum one time), 0,04 mkg/m3 (average daily) and 0,01 mkg/m3 (average yearly);
biocide manufactured by Nalco Chemicals: 30 mkg/m3, 12 mkg/m3 and 3 mkg respectively; and
corrosion or scale inhibitor manufactured by Nalco Chemicals: 150 mkg/m3; 60 mkg/m3 and 15 mkg/m3 respectively.
