Moldova: Excise mark for tobacco products

As of 1 January 2025 the excise stamp/consumption stamp design' becomes mandatory for tobacco and related products.

The design of the mark was adopted by Order no. 119 of October 15, 2024 regarding the amendment of MF Order no. 91/2019 regarding the approval of the "Excise Stamp/Consumption Stamp" brand design.

The Excide stamp / mark must have the following dimensions:

 

 

Uzbekistan: Amended rules for the sale of tobacco and alcohol

As of 16 August 2024, rules for the retail sale and consumption of alcohol and tobacco have been amended.

The amendments provide for the following:

prohibit the sale of alcohol and tobacco products to persons under the age of twenty-one;

Uzbekistan: Revised rules on selling goods subject to mandatory digital labelling

he Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has been mandated to introduce supervisory measures over the registration in the national system – “Asl Belgisi”.

This registration is required for companies engaged in the retail sale of alcoholic and tobacco products, beer, medicines and household appliances, i.e. the goods that are subject to the mandatory digital marking / labelling. 

Uzbekistan: Adopted Technical Regulation on the Safety of Tobacco Products

As of 1 January 2025, importers and manufacturers of tobacco products in Uzbekistan are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation (TR) on the Safety of Tobacco Products in Uzbekistan. The adopted TR applies to tobacco products and devices intended to consume tobacco or nicotine.

The adopted Technical Regulation on the Safety of Tobacco Products does not apply for products that are:

-          Intended for export or transit;
