As of 6 March 2018, a revised list of products subject to compulsory national conformity assessment entered into force. Decree No. 849 dated 21 October 2016 on the list of products subject to compulsory conformity assessment was amended by Decree No. 156 dated February 2018.
The list of products for which compulsory conformity assessment is required as of 1 July 2018, has been amended to exclude television sets, TV monitors and microwave ovens. The list still includes fridges, electrical ovens, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers. All these products will require compulsory energy efficiency and/or energy labelling conformity assessment as of 1 July 2018.
Microwave ovens, TV sets and television monitors as well as household and office equipment must undergo energy labelling and energy efficiency compulsory conformity assessment as of 1 January 2019.
It is important to note that external power supply sources (EPS) are subject to compulsory energy efficiency conformity assessment in Belarus as of September 2017.
Compulsory conformity assessment for fire safety and firefighting devices as well as for fire-fighting personal protection equipment and fire rescue devices, enters into force as of 31 December 2019.
