The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU) adopted the programme for the development, revision and amendment of standards that contain testing rules and methods (including sample taking procedure) for the Technical Regulation that restricts the contents of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EAEU RoHS).
The Program schedules the revision of a number of intrastate standards that containing test rules and methods that are necessary in order to implement the EAEU RoHS requirements. The Program provides for the following measures aimed at the revision of the standard list:
Identification of certain substances in electrical products (part 6) - Identification of polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in polymers by using gas chromatography- mass spectrometry (GC-MS). In order to implement this, the Program plans the development (by 2020) of a special standard (GOST) that is based on IEC 62321-6: 2015;
Identification of certain substances in electrical devices (part 7-1) - Identifying the presence of hexavalent chromium (Cr (VI)) in colourless and coloured corrosion-resistant metal coatings by using colorimetric analysis. The Program plans the development of a special standard (GOST) that is based on EU 62321-7-1: 2015;
Identification of certain substances in electrical devices (part 7-2) Hexavalent chromium. Identifying the presence of hexavalent chromium (Cr (VI)) in polymers and electronic products by using colorimetric analysis. The Program plans the development of a special standard (GOST) that is based on IEC 62321-7-2 (FD); etc.
Law: Decision No. 143 of 7 November 2017 on the Program for the Development of Rules and Methods for Research, Tests and Measurements for the Implementation of the Technical Regulation on Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EAEU RoHS).
