The Common Economic Area will soon adopt a single trademark. An agreement "Concerning Trademarks" has already been prepared and will be submitted for the consideration of the Common Economic Area member states.
Persons registering a Community Trademark will be protected throughout the whole territory of the Common Economic Area.
The "Common Economic Area" currently includes the territories of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia (the Customs Union member states). The CEA has been operating since 1 January 2012. The basic principle of the CEA includes so called "four freedoms":
- free trade of goods;
- free trade of services;
- free movement of capital (finances);
- free movement of workforce.
