Adopted Technical Regulation on Glass Packaging
The Technical Regulation applies to all manufacturers and users of the following types of glass packaging:
- Glass bottles for liquid food products;
- Glass bottles for food; and
- Glass bottles and jars for domestic and household chemical products.
Safety of glass packaging is to be regulated in the following ways:
- Chemical safety; and
- Mechanical safety.

Adopted requirements for alcoholic drinks and distillates
As of 19 August 2017, manufacturers and importers of alcoholic products are to comply with the provisions of the adopted Technical Regulation (TR) on the Safety of Alcoholic Products. The TR applies to products listed in Annex 1 to the TR. These products include different types of alcoholic drinks, such as vodka, wine, beer and some distillates.
The TR does not apply for products in transit and to ethanol-containing sweets, dairy, beer with the content of alcohol not exceeding 0,5%, etc.
The TR sets out requirements pertaining to the chemical composition of alcoholic products, to the manufacturing process, raw materials, storage and transportation of alcoholic products. The TR also imposes requirements for labelling of alcoholic products.
