Technical Regulation on Fire Safety and Fire Fighting Equipment enters into force on 1 January 2020 and applies to products like fire extinguishers, fire extinguishing powder, flame retardants for cables, wood and steel, fire safety cabinets, fire hoses and valves, fire fighting vehicles, personal protective equipment, etc.
According to Decision No. 125 of 26 September 2017 regarding the transitional period for Fire Safety and Fire Fighting Equipment TR, all conformity assessment documents for products in scope of the TR that was issued before the TR entered into force will remain valid until their normal expiry date but no later than 18 months from the date the TR enters into force.
For 18 months after the date of entry into force of the TR, it will be allowed to manufacture or sell any products within the scope of the TR if the conformity assessment documents for such products were adopted or issued before the TR enters into force. Such products must bear the national conformity mark of the relevant EAEU member state. It is not allowed to place EAEU conformity mark (the EAC mark) on these products.
For 12 months after the date the TR enters into force it will be allowed to manufacture or sell any product that were not subject to compulsory conformity assessment before the TR entered into force. Such products must not be marked with a national or EAEU conformity mark.
