Uzbekistan has joined the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) and the Protocol (Geneva, 28 October 1993).
The agreement aims to improve the safety of international road transport and defines the term “dangerous goods” – items that are not allowed for international road transport without observing certain conditions.
The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are identified as the competent authorities responsible for the implementation of these international treaties.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country will send notifications to the depositary on the accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to these international treaties, as well as about the competent authorities responsible for their implementation.
When these agreements enter into force, the heads of the relevant ministries and departments will monitor the implementation of obligations undertaken by Uzbekistan.
