The Ministry of Energy by order of 26.10.2020 N 683 approved the Technical Regulation of energy labelling of professional refrigerated storage cabinets that operate from the mains, including those intended for cooling food and animal feed.
The Technical regulation has been drafted based on the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/1094 of 5 May 2015 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to the energy labelling of professional refrigerated storage cabinets.
The Technical Regulations do not apply to:
- professional refrigerated storage cabinets, which are powered mainly by energy sources other than electricity;
- professional refrigerated storage cabinets that work with a remote condenser unit;
- open-type refrigerators, if their openness is the main feature needed to perform their basic functions;
- refrigerating cabinets specially designed for food processing (except for refrigerating cabinets having only one compartment that was specially designed for processing food, the useful volume of which is less than 20% of the total useful volume of the refrigerating cabinet);
- refrigerating cabinets specially designed exclusively for defrosting frozen products in a controlled mode (except for refrigerating cabinets having only one compartment specially designed for defrosting frozen products);
- refrigerated tables;
- refrigerated display cases and other similar forms of cabinets, intended, except for cooling and storage, mainly for display and sale of food products;
- refrigerated cabinets that do not use a steam compression cooling cycle;
- professional refrigerated storage cabinets, made to order in one copy according to the individual specification of the consumer and not equivalent to other professional refrigerated storage cabinets;
- refrigerators-freezers;
- cabinets with static cooling;
- built-in refrigerators;
- refrigerated cabinets with roller racks and through refrigerated cabinets;
- chest freezers.
The order was registered in the Ministry of Justice on December 21, 2020 under N 1267/35550 and comes into force in 6 months from the date of its official publication.
It is established that professional refrigerated storage cabinets, which were put into circulation before the entry into force of this order and do not meet all or some requirements of the above Technical Regulations, may be placed on the market within 6 months from the date of entry into force of this order.
