As of 1 January 2025 the excise stamp/consumption stamp design' becomes mandatory for tobacco and related products.
The design of the mark was adopted by Order no. 119 of October 15, 2024 regarding the amendment of MF Order no. 91/2019 regarding the approval of the "Excise Stamp/Consumption Stamp" brand design.
The Excide stamp / mark must have the following dimensions:
Option no. 1:
- Length (44+/-0.5) mm
- Width (20+/-0.5) mm
Option no. 2:
- Length (32+/-0.5) mm
- Width (16+/-0.3) mm
Option no. 3:
- Length (32+/-0.5) mm
- Width (12+/-0.2) mm
Excise stamp/consumption stamp must be printed on special paper of a prescribed size with inscriptions and special distinguishing marks and applied on tobacco and related products. CTIF, after coordination with the Ministry of Finance, approves the paper security elements, the printing security elements, the colour range, the structure and the method of creating the series and the number.
