As of 13 June 2018, major hazard facilities performing works in confined spaces, hot works and repair works are required to comply with the adopted safety rules.
The adopted safety rules consist of several chapters, each regulating one type of hazardous works and a chapter setting out general requirements for works in confined spaces, hot works and repair works. For example, works in confined spaces, hot works and repair works may only be performed by qualified personnel who is at least 18 years of age. Also, organisations must take measures aimed at reducing the number of required works in confined spaces.
The adopted safety rules also set out forms for permits that are to be issued for works in confined spaces, hot works and repair works, log where such works must be recorded and some other prescribed forms.
