As of 1 January 2018, manufacturers and importers of certain products and product categories are no longer required to obtain conformity certificates for such products.
Decree No. 855 of 17 July 2017 amended the list of products subject to compulsory certification (adopted by Decree No. 989 of 1 December 2009).
The amendments remove a number of products from the list of products subject to compulsory certification. This means that as of 1 January 2018, no certificate of conformity is required for products like radioisotope instruments and devices, ionizing radiation detectors, operating equipment for nuclear installations, pumps for nuclear installations and radiochemical production, special technological equipment, radiation protection equipment, etc.
All conformity certificates issued before the date the amendment enters into force (i.e. before 1 January 2018) are to remain valid until their normal expiry date.
