As of 15 November 2018, manufacturers and importers of lighting devices and electrical lamps used in AC electrical circuits for lighting purposes have to comply with a revised set of requirements applicable to such lamps and lighting devices.
The amendments to the existing requirements (adopted by Decree No. 1356 of 10 November 2017) add two new definitions: of a “directional lamp” and of a “filament LED lamp”.
The amendments also impose the following changes to Decree No. 1356 of 10 November 2017:
- Lamps with electronic power supply for outdoor lighting with LEDs at stage 2 must have an embedded function of regulating the luminous flux of the lamp.
- Lamps for outdoor lighting with luminous flux more than 5000 lm at stages 1 and 2 must have secondary optics (lenses,diffuser or reflector).
- The starting current of the luminaires in stage 2 should not exceed 5 times the operating current of the power supply.
- Lamp and luminaires used in industrial or public premises must have a luminous flux control function.
- Lamps with electronic power supply for outdoor lighting with LEDs at stage 2 must have an embedded function of regulating the luminous flux of the lamp.
- Lamps for outdoor lighting with luminous flux more than 5000 lm at stages 1 and 2 must have secondary optics (lenses,diffuser or reflector).
- The starting current of the luminaires in stage 2 should not exceed 5 times the operating current of the power supply.
