Russia has introduced mandatory ID labelling for beer and beer-like drinks (e.g. cider).
As of 1 March 2023, manufacturers and importers may voluntarily start marking their products, such as beer and cider with the ID marking.
As of 1 April 2023, it is mandatory to label all such drinks that are packaged in kegs.
As of 1 October 2023, it is mandatory to label (provide the mandatory ID labelling) all products that come in glass or polymer consumer packaging.
As of 15 January 2024, it is mandatory to provide the mandatory ID labelling for drinks that come in all other types of packaging.

How to comply?
In order to comply with the new requirements, manufacturers and importers have to take the following steps:
