As of 9 December 2022, state labour inspectors are to use the adopted checklists during compliance inspections at facilities.
Seven checklists have been adopted, and each one must be used for a specific type of inspection or for a general occupational safety and labour law compliance inspection.
As of 12 March 2020, the procedure for issuing permits for hazardous works and hazardous machinery is amended to clarify a number of issues.
The amended Procedure was adopted by Decree No. 1107 of 26 October 2011. The amendments were made by Decree No. 207 of 3 March 2020.
As of 20 April 2019, employers and the competent authorities (i.e. the state labour safety authority) are required to follow the revised procedure for the issue of permits for the operation of hazardous machinery and performance of hazardous types of work. A permit is issued by the State Labour Safety Authority (GosTrud) or its territorial branches.
As of 10 April 2018, facilities operating lifting equipment are required to comply with the adopted occupational safety rules. The rules apply to the following types of lifting equipment:
As of 26 November 2017, all organisations that produce, sell, test, assemble, service or operate x-ray inspection installations with the maximum energy of up to 15 MeV (e.g. those used for luggage inspection) are required to comply with the adopted safety rules. The Rules to not apply to x-ray scanners used for the inspection of people.

As of 7 April 2018, lift owners, manufacturers and operators in Uzbekistan will be required to comply with the adopted set of safety requirements for lifts. The requirements apply to hydraulic and electrical lifts with the loading capacity of 40 kg and more, except the following lifts:

As of 6 September 2017, all organisations operating buildings or structures and/or using flammable substances or electrical equipment or those that own or operate any fire fighting equipment are required to comply with the provisions of Technical Regulation (TR) “General Fire Safety Requirements”.

According to the published draft law, organisations that perform assembly, disassembly, operation (service and repair) of lifts, lifting platforms for disabled persons, passenger conveyors and escalators (except escalators used in the underground system) would have to submit notifications to the authorities on the mentioned activities. The notifications must be submitted within 6 months from the date when the draft law enters into force.
As of 30 August 2017, owners and/or operators of passenger lifts (elevators), lifting platforms for disabled persons, travellators (moving pedestrian pavements) and escalators (the Equipment) are required to comply with the adopted safety rules. The Rules do not apply to non-passenger lifts, lifts operated in mines or on ships, aircrafts or special military purpose lifts.
