Starting from 30 August 2020, manufacturers and importers of personal protective equipment (PPE) in Ukraine are required to comply with the adopted Ukrainian Technical Regulation on the Safety of Personal Equipment adopted by Decree No. 771 of 21 August 2019. The adopted TR is to replace the current Technical Regulation with the same name adopted by Decree No. 761 of 27 August 2008.
The 2019 version of the Technical Regulation on the safety of PPE is aligned with the EU legislation on personal protective equipment.
All PPE that is placed on the market before 30 August 2020 and that complies with the provisions of the TR on the Safety of PPE adopted in 2008, can remain on the market after the 2019 version of the PPE Technical Regulation enters into force (i.e. after 30 August 2020).
