On June 6, 2019 the Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) voted for the simplification of the certification procedure and conformity assessment of Ukrainian consumer goods.
The Parliament approved the draft Law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the implementation of legislative acts of the European Union in the field of technical regulation.
The intention of the Parliament of Ukraine is to simplify the access of Ukrainian goods on the international and European markets by eliminating the need to undergo double certification procedures and tests done by the Ukrainian and European conformity assessment bodies.
As a result of these changes, a number of legislative acts will be revised, in particular, the amendments will be introduced to the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Law of Ukraine "On the licensing system in the sphere of economic activity", "On the List of permissive documents in the sphere of economic activity", "On the basic principles and requirements for organic production, circulation and labelling of organic products", "On pesticides and agrochemicals", "On accreditation of conformity assessment bodies", "On insurance" and a number of other regulatory instruments.
