Uzbekistan: Electronic Form for Dangerous goods transit permits

As of 1 September 2024, organisations involved in the transit of dangerous goods through the territory of Uzbekistan will be able to apply for a transit permit electronically.

This change aims to increase the efficiency of monitoring the transit of dangerous goods through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to widely introduce digital technologies in the transport sector. The change also aims to eliminate excessive bureaucratic obstacles and create more favourable conditions for the activities of business entities and provide electronic services to carriers

In order to obtain an electronic dangerous goods transit permit, the applicant must submit an application to the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Transport will review the documents and send them (within 2 days) to the competent authorities for approval. The competent authorities will provide their opinions / approvals within 7 days.

Based on the provided opinions and approvals, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan makes a decision whether to issue a transit permit or refuse to issue this permit within five days. 

As of 1 October 2024 all dangerous goods will be traced online in the GPS mode.
