Uzbekistan: regulation on the safety of mineral fertilisers
As of 11 December 2022, manufacturers and importers of electrical and electronic products subject to the low voltage equipment regulations in the EurAsian Economic Union (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia), are required to comply with the revised version of the Technical Regulation TR TS 004/2011 on the Safety of Low Voltage Equipment (the LV TR).
As of 11 December 2022, manufacturers and importers of electrical and electronic products in the EurAsian Economic Union (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) are subject to the electromagnetic compatibility regulations, are required to comply with the revised version of the Technical Regulation TR TS 020/2011 on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of Technical Devices (the EMC TR).
Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan dated April 2, 2022 No. 148 “On the introduction of a system of mandatory digital marking of household appliances” was adopted.
Manufacturers and importers of some household appliances in Uzbekistan are to apply mandatory digital labelling on their products, by the set deadlines.
Manufacturers and importers of medical devices and medicines are to be required to provide electronic labelling for their products sold or imported into Uzbekistan. This requirement has been set by Decree adopted in April 2022.
Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan dated April 2022 No. 149 “On the introduction of a system of mandatory digital labelling of medicines and medical devices” was adopted.
As of 27 July 2022, manufacturers and importers of organic food products are required to comply with the adopted set of requirements.
The Law “On Organic Products if Uzbekistan” adopted in April 2022, regulates production, processing, storage, transportation, labelling and sale, as well as conformity assessment and authorization of organic products.
As of 1 January 2023, manufacturers and importers of poultry meat and products will have to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation on the Safety of Poultry Meat and Products (TR EAEU 051/2021).

Specific requirements applicable to skin antiseptics have been included into Part 20, Chapter II of the Common Sanitary and Hygienic Requirements for Products Subject to Sanitary Supervision in the EAEU.
As a result, it has become possible to perform toxicology and safety evaluation for any skin antiseptic (skin sanitiser) in accordance with any method included into Part 20.
As of 1 January 2022, employers will be able to use female workers in a number of positions that were previously prohibited for such workers.
In particular, the restrictions were removed for works in boiler houses, cold stamping, drawing and pressing works, works on installation and maintenance of technological equipment, repair of oilfield equipment, with the exception of several professions.
