As of 1 August 2020, Belarus has adopted 14 interstate standards (GOST) for perfumery and cosmetic products. The standards regulate safety indicators, methods of their control and measurement, as well as some terms and definitions. The documents were developed by the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology (BelGIM).
As of 26 June 2020, all food manufactured or imported into the EAEU (Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) must be marked with a “GMO” sign if it was manufactured with the use of genetically modified organisms.
Manufacturers and importers pf products subject to the extended producer responsibility in Kazakhstan are required to comply with the revised version of the Rules on EPR obligations, including management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), batteries and packaging.
The EPR obligations arise:
- For manufacturers – from the moment a finished product has been recorded as such in the manufacturer’s internal records;
The Board of the EurAsian Commission adopted the Guidelines for conducting preclinical toxicity studies with repeated (multiple) administration of active substances of medicinal products intended for medical use.
As of 1 August 2020, vehicle manufacturers and importers are obliged to pay a utilisation charge for all vehicles they import into Uzbekistan or place on the market in Uzbekistan.
The utilisation fee has been introduced by way of amending the two laws of Uzbekistan: on Nature Protection and on Wastes.
Utilization charge (or “utilisation fee”) is a fee that is payable for: wheeled vehicles, self-propelled vehicles and vehicle trailers.
The representatives of the competent authorities of the EAEU Member States (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan) have revised draft regulations that aim to implement EAEU Technical Regulation on the Safety of Chemical Products (041/2017) – the “EurAsia REACH”.
As of 2 December 2021, manufacturers and importers of non-alcoholic drinks and raw materials used for non-alcoholic drinks are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation (TR).
Until the adopted TR enters into force, all existing standards and regulatory instruments applicable to non-alcoholic drinks are to be applied voluntary and are not binding.
As of 24 April 2020, manufacturers and importers of baby food and infant milk have to comply with the provisions set out by Law on Supporting Breastfeeding and Requirements for Baby and Infant Food. Some provisions of this law also apply to baby and infant food advertisers.
The document introduces a number of requirements and restrictions applicable to baby food and its producers.
