Draft amendment No. 1 to the Technical Regulation of the Customs Union «On Safety of Equipment Working under Excessive Pressure» (TR CU 032/2013) aims to clarify certain provisions of the Technical Regulation and to introduce a number of new definitions.

Ukraine: draft Technical Regulation on equipment to be used in explosive atmospheres

The Draft Technical Regulation (TR) sets out the requirements for the safety of equipment that is to be operated in potentially explosive atmospheres and the requirements for the protection of human health during the operation of such equipment. The requirements apply to equipment released for circulation in Ukraine. It applies to manufacturers, authorized representatives, importers and distributors of equipment.

 

Ukraine: draft Technical Regulation on Radio equipment published

The Draft Resolution approves the Technical Regulation of radio equipment as well as its implementation plan. 

The Draft TR sets out the basic legal framework for radio equipment that is placed or supplied to the Ukrainian market. It also sets out requirements pertaining to the use of radio equipment in Ukraine. This draft TR applies to all forms of supply and delivery, including online sale and distant selling of radio equipment.

 

Ukraine: draft Technical Regulation on Cosmetics approved

Draft Resolution approves the Draft Technical Regulation on cosmetic products and submits a notification to the WTO.

The Draft Technical Regulation (TR) sets out the basic minimum requirements for cosmetics and perfumery products.  

The draft TR was developed based on the Regulation (EU) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.

Russia: Proposed Law on Chemical Safety

The Draft Law on Chemical Safety was proposed by the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia.  The draft law aims to create a consolidated legal framework in the area of chemical safety.

The draft proposes to introduce a number of new definitions, such as “hazardous chemical factor”, “chemical threat”, “acceptable chemical risk”, “chemical safety”, “hazardous chemical substance”, “hazardous persistent chemical compounds”, etc.
