Updated list of standards for oil and fat products
The list of standards the voluntary use of which ensures compliance with the EEU Technical Regulation TR TS 024/2011 has been updated. The TR applies to plant oils and products manufactured on the basis of plant, vegetable or animal oils and fats (including fish oils and sea mammal oils), with or without adding water, food additives or other ingredients. The TR mainly applies to food but also to non-foods, such as “domestic soap” and natural raw glycerine.
The TR imposes requirements for oil and fat products, including packaging, labelling, manufacturing and storage of such products.
The list of standards enters into force on 14 June 2016.
