Ukraine: Adopted procedure for contracting professional emergency response service

Certain organisations in Ukraine are required to sign a contract with professional emergency response services.  Such organisations include those operating major hazard installations (unless they operate their own professional emergency response service), coal mining facilities, facilities with I-III degree of chemical hazard, stationary acetylene stations, wood processing, etc.

The adopted procedure regulates certain rights and duties of facilities and the professional emergency response services. For example, the procedure provides that emergency response services are to be provided on the basis of a contract with a professional organization and that the facility must submit to the professional organization the information on the identification of all major hazard installations the facility is operating as well as the safety declaration for such major hazard installations.
