As of 6 September 2017 manufacturers, importers and suppliers of telecommunication equipment in Uzbekistan are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation on the Safety of Telecommunication Equipment.
The adopted Technical Regulation applies to both new equipment (regardless of the country of manufacture), modernized (refurbished) equipment, used equipment and imported equipment.
The full list of products subject to the adopted TR consists of 30 items and includes radiotelephony, electromechanical and electronic devices intended to be connected to a PC, radiolocation and radio-navigation equipment, ICT equipment, antennae and feeders, diesel generators, accumulators and accumulator batteries, etc.
The requirements of the adopted TR are compulsory for all organisations, individuals and sole traders (entrepreneurs).
The adopted TR imposes requirements for the technical, mechanical, electrical, environmental, fire, explosion and radiation safety of telecommunication equipment.
