The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has published a proposal to amend the EEU Technical Regulation on the Safety of Toys by imposing the requirement for all toys to undergo psychological and pedagogical assessment before any toy can be released on the EurAsian Economic Union market.
The EurAsian Economic Commission has decided to submit for the intra-state agreement a number of draft agreements regulating market circulation of products that are not subject to the EEU Technical Regulations.
Decision on entering into force of the amendments to the Technical Regulation on the Safety of Packaging
The public discussion of the proposed amendments to the EEU Technical Regulation on the Safety of Equipment Operating at Excessive Pressure (TR TS 032/2013) is taking place from 21 December 2016 to 18 February 2017.
In order to assess conformity of a product with the applicable safety requirements of a technical regulation, the manufacturer or supplier of a product may be required (depending on the type of product) to either draw up a declaration of conformity (DoC) or to undergo product certification procedure.
Draft law aims to amend food safety requirements in Belarus
Draft law would strengthen the measures aimed at ensuring quality and safety of foodstuffs. It would clarify food labelling requirements as well as consumer information requirements. It would also set out separate requirements for the labelling of biologically active additives and specialized sport food.
The adopted Technical Regulation (TR) sets out minimum safety requirements for the safety of amusement rides and for their design, manufacture, installation (assembly) service, operation, transportation and utilization. The TR enters into force as of 18 April 2018 (no transitional or grace period is set for this TR).
Starting from 1 March 2018 manufacturers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment into the Eurasian Economic Union are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation (TR) restricting the content of hazardous substances in such equipment (“the EEU RoHS TR").
