EEU: Drawing up a declaration of conformity. Conformity assessment modules

In order to assess conformity of a product with the applicable safety requirements of a technical regulation, the manufacturer or supplier of a product may be required (depending on the type of product) to either draw up a declaration of conformity (DoC) or to undergo product certification procedure.

Draft law aims to amend food safety requirements in Belarus

Draft law would strengthen the measures aimed at ensuring quality and safety of foodstuffs. It would clarify food labelling requirements as well as consumer information requirements.  It would also set out separate requirements for the labelling of biologically active additives and specialized sport food. 

EEU: Adopted Technical Regulation on Amusement Ride Safety

The adopted Technical Regulation (TR) sets out minimum safety requirements for the safety of amusement rides and for their design, manufacture, installation (assembly) service, operation, transportation and utilization.  The TR enters into force as of 18 April 2018 (no transitional or grace period is set for this TR).

EEU: amended Technical Regulation on the Safety of Packaging

As of 21 May 2017 manufacturers and importers of packaging and packaged products packaging, are required to comply with the amended provisions of the EurAsian Economic Union Technical Regulation on the Safety of Packaging (TR TS 005/2011).

Eurasian Economic Union creates legal framework for plant quarantine

The members of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the Unified list of products subject to quarantine in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU); the common quarantine phytosanitary requirements to regulated products and quarantine objects of the customs border and customs territory of the EEU; and the common rules and norms regulating ensuring plant quarantine in the customs territory of the EAEU (EEU).
