Zero import duty set for waste and scrap titanium

As of 18 September 2015 until 31 December 2016 the import duty on waste and scrape titanium is 0% from its customs value. This import duty rate was adopted by the Eurasian Economic Commission Collegiate Decision No. 90 of 18 August 2015.

When do the EEU Technical Regulations enter into force in Armenia?

The dates for the entry into force of the Customs Union Technical Regulations in Armenia are set by Decision No. 28 of the Eurasian Economic Commission Collegiate of 14 April 2015 sets out the transitional periods for entering into force of the Customs Union Technical Regulations in Armenia.

EEU: Prohibition to manufacture and place on the market baby food containing ethyl vanillin enters into force on 6 April 2016

As of 6 April 2016 baby food importers and manufacturers are prohibited to manufacture or place on the Customs Union market any baby food which contains ethyl vanillin. This requirement applies to food which is intended for babies younger than 4 months as well as to food in a form of mixtures intended for healthy older children and which has undergone the state registration as special food before Decision No. 69 of 18 September 2014 of 18 September 2014 enters into force. The exact date when Decision No. 69 enters into force is not known yet.

Classification of gauze fabric

Gauze fabric, containing 85 wt.% or more cotton, plain weave, non-sterile, not impregnated or coated with pharmaceutical substances, used for the manufacture of bandages, dressings and medical gauzes and (or) for use as a wound dressing, not  packaged for retail sale, has been assigned a HS (FEACN or TN VED TS) code 5208 "Woven Fabrics Of Cotton, Containing 85% Or More By Weight Of Cotton, Weighing Not More Than 200 G/M2".
