Uzbekistan: Mobile devices must undergo registration

As of 18 September 2019, all importers and manufacturers of mobile phone devices (including those imported for personal use) must register them in the special database.

The Regulation was approved on the registration procedure for mobile devices used, imported and produced both for sale or personal use in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan (PKM dated September 17, 2019 No. 778). 

Russia: Amended list of products subject to compulsory certification

As of 4 September 2019, manufacturers and importers of certain products have to issue a declaration of conformity in order to be able to sell these products in the Russian Federation.

The revised product groups for which such a declaration is required as of 4 September 2019, include:

Russia: Revised waste reporting form 2-TP adopted

Facilities submitting statistical reporting for waste management activities have to use a revised form 2-TP for 2019 reports. The reports for 2019 must be submitted by facilities before 1 February 2020.

Facilities must include into the form 2-TP the information about their waste generation, recycling, processing, disposal and neutralisation. All waste handling facilities must complete and submit this form.  Failure to submit the statistical reporting form 2-TP will result in a fine.

EAEU: Technical Regulation on the Safety of Personal Protective Equipment

As of 1 June 2012, manufacturers and importers of personal protective equipment into the EAEU (Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan) are required to comply with the requirements set out in the Technical Regulation on the Safety of Personal Protective Equipment (TR TS 019/2011) – the EAEU TR on PPE. 

Russia: Milk and dairy products are to be subject to identification marking

Manufacturers and importers of milk and dairy products are to be required to label such products with identification marks.

Milk and dairy products have been included into the list of products that are subject to compulsory marking with identification marks.  Other products that are also in this list include tobacco, perfumery, footwear, etc.

Ukraine: Implementation of EU product safety legislation

As of 3 July 2019 Ukrainian, legislation in the area of product safety has been further aligned with the EU product compliance regulations. Law No. 2740-VIII of 6 June 2019 makes substantial amendments to the Ukrainian technical regulation and market surveillance requirements.

Ukraine: Ecodesign regulations for office equipment and electronic products

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved technical regulations on eco-design requirements for various energy consuming products.
