Special Protective, Anti-Dumping and Compensation Measures of the Customs Union

Special protective, anti-dumping and compensation measures are used in order to protect domestic industries from losses incurred as a result of dumping, subsidized or increased import of goods from third countries. The body responsible for investigations preceding the introduction of new protective measures is the Department of Protective Measures in Foreign Trade of the Secretariat of the Customs Union Commission (Decision No. 802 of 23 September 2011).

The main statutory instrument regulating the application of special protective, anti-dumping and compensation measures is the Agreement on the Use of Special Protective, Anti-Dumping and Compensation Measures to Third Countries, of 25 January 2008.
