Uzbekistan: Adopted Technical Regulation on different types of fuel

As of 27 November 2017, manufacturers and importers of motor and aviation gasoline, as well as diesel and ship fuel, jet fuel and fuel oil are required to comply with the requirements pertaining to the safety of the mentioned fuel (including its composition) as well as labelling and packaging requirements for these types of fuel.

Belarus: Adopted maximum allowable concentrations for three additional substances in the air of residential and recreational areas

Facilities that emit warfarin sodium, biocide manufactured by Nalco Chemicals and / or corrosion or scale inhibitor manufactured by Nalco Chemicals into the ambient air are required to ensure that their emissions of these substances do not result in the exceedance of the set concentration thresholds set for such substances for the air of residential and recreational areas.

Russia: EPR. Proposal to submit environmental charge calculation electronically

Manufacturers and importers of products subject to recycling after the loss of their consumer properties (e.g. electronic equipment, cardboard and paper packaging and textile products) within the extended producer responsibility framework, might soon be able to submit the environmental charge calculation reports in electronic form online.

Russia: Established criteria for assigning environmentally hazardous facilities to a risk category

As of 5 December 2017, each facility impacting the environment is to be assigned, by the Russian authorities, to a particular environmental risk category. Such a risk category is to be assigned in order to determine the frequency with which the facility is to be inspected by environmental authorities.

There are five risk categories, which will be inspected with the following frequency:

Ukraine: Adopted maximum allowable concentrations for chemical substances in the air of working zone

As of 1 December 2017, employers must ensure that the concentration of 17 substances in the air of working zone does not exceed the set concentration limits. The concentration limits have been set for the following substances:

Abamectin

Benzalkonium chloride, Alkyl(C12-16)dimethylbenzylammonium chloride;

Thiourea dioxide

Angiolin ((S)-2,6-diaminohexanoic acid 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolyl-5-thioacetate)

Ukraine: Amended drug registration procedure

As of 24 November 2017, manufacturers and importers of pharmaceuticals (drugs) are required to comply with the revised drug registration requirements.

The amendments to the drug (pharmaceutical/medicine) registration procedure have been introduced by Order No. 1202 of 2 October 2017.

Uzbekistan: Safety requirements for gas cookers and water heaters

As of 1 May 2018, manufacturers and importers of gas cookers and water heaters are required to comply with the requirements adopted by Technical Regulation on the Safety of Devices Operating on Gaseous Fuel.

The adopted TR applies to gas-consuming equipment intended for cooking, heating and hot water supply, as well as to its components. The TR does not apply to equipment:
