Ukraine: Approved Technical Regulation on Radio Equipment

Starting from 1 April 2018 all manufacturers and importers of radio equipment in Ukraine are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation (TR) on the safety of radio electronic equipment, subject to the set transitional period. The adopted TR is in line with the European Directive 2014/53/EU relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment.

Adopted rules for dangerous goods transportation by inland waterways

The Rules apply to all organisations participating in inland transportation of dangerous goods. The Rules contain requirements for transportation, loading, unloading, treatment of vessels, training of staff, etc.

Uzbekistan: Ten ILO Conventions may be implemented

The Ministry of Occupation and Employment Relations is planning to implement ten ILO Conventions and to generally revise the national occupational safety legislation.

Plan of Comprehensive Measures aimed at improving the efficiency of state labour protection bodies provides for the possible implementation of certain ILO Conventions and for the revision of labour safety legislation.

Belarus: Description and Application of the National Conformity Mark

As of 30 July 2017, the national Belarusian conformity mark is to be applied in accordance with the revised procedure.

The manufacturer, its authorised representative or the seller is required to affix the national mark of conformity. The dimensions of the mark are to be determined by the manufacturer, its authorised representative or the seller (i.e. the entity authorised to affix the mark).

Russia: Clarification on medical examination requirement for employees

Federal Labour and Occupation Service (RosTrud) has published a clarification on the necessity of organizing a preliminary and subsequent regular medical examinations for employees.

Medical examinations are regulated by Order No. 302n that also lists types of working conditions and occupational exposure that are considered as harmful or hazardous.
